Since itâs already in the box, letâs try it out, Iâve delved a bit deeper into the world of TC.
I used to experiment with temperature control on the Evic VTC Mini, but it didnât feel quite right back then. I read up on the topics here to see how to get started and adapt the Lite Plus for this mode. The build wasnât about aesthetics, the goal wasnât form, but rather function.
I wicked it, spaced it, stuffed it, and dripped it.
Then came the calibration, 210 degrees.
The first 12-15 puffs tasted really unpleasant, but then Bombo Cookie Supra started showing signs of life, and now it tastes quite good, slightly silkier than with a Kanthal microcoil. This evening Iâll drip Dharma, it should benefit from this silkier touch, and then comes the extract test⊠

You can have a good time fiddling with this, but isnât the ref. value 20-21 degrees? I think thatâs perhaps why it wonât let it go above 5.5WâŠ

I was thinking about the reference temperature that needs to be set on the Dani, because the mod regulates the temperature based on this. The 320 is the wireâs temperature coefficient.
But here is Groszeibl JĂĄnos, he taught me too.

You calibrate the wire at room temperature (20 degrees). What is on the screen is the picture taken during operation.

If the reference temperature is poorly calibrated, even if you set the max to 210°C and specify a max of 12 watts, the mod will, for example, sense it as 250°C, thus throttling the wattage down to the value shown in the picture (5.5w).

Thatâs a good value, but Dani is misunderstanding something, which is why itâs limiting to 5.5 watts, and with that, there wonât be good flavor and vapor.

Many people experimenting with TC make the mistake of trying to save the 20°C reference temperature by pressing a button as if it were âEnterâ. You shouldnât do that. If the correct value is on a white background, you must leave it. It will then darken and be locked in.

Syrian Latakia has a âspecialâ component which for various reasons has not been cultivated since 2005, so it will never be like it is now.
Mine is still very freshâŠ
For me now, LacĂĄâs Desert blend 2 really kicks ass

Give it another 5-10W. Let that TC work.
You can check the calibration by the way, I have Ni80 in it now, so itâs not relevant, but here, with a cold coil and TC wire, you should get back your current room temperature.
By the way, although I donât use it with this wire (29ga Zivipf NiFe30-520), my post-puff value is usually around 6-9W.
What was your resistance when cold?
