A 3 mm drill bit was used for this purpose, cleaned to metal purity and sterilized, of course.
I was able to buy 0.5 mm resistance wire, magnified it’s visible that it’s a solid single strand, I think it’s Kanthal wire, although I didn’t ask the seller.
I would be very happy about the latter, because since the 3rd there has been no news about the Brunhilde from the sourcemore order…
