I had some time, so I put in a coil. In short: it works. More specifically: it works perfectly fine with it so far 
You’ve made me curious about the battery management question, I’ll see how many puffs it lasts until a battery change, though I vape MTL (what I’m currently using it with: 0.98ohm kanthal, 12-13W).
I also took some photos, it measures the RBA about the same as the B80
