I’m not giving up for now because it really looks like a slick piece of gear.
I think I’ll grab some smaller pliers, wrap the “legs” with electrical tape (green-yellow, strictly), tastefully insert them into the juice holes, and then either it works, or it breaks and it’s time for gin 
edit.: before that, I’ll put the pliers in the freezer for 15 minutes, just to be safe

Hi everyone,
On a ‘nothing to lose’ basis, I made a last attempt and it worked!
I’d like to share how I did it, in case it comes in handy for someone in the future:
Put on rubber gloves, I wrapped the top cap with a cloth diaper, and carefully gripped it with a pipe wrench and twisted it.
Even so, it was hard to get it to budge, but it worked, and during the procedure, neither the tank, my hands, nor any pets were harmed.
Bring on the gin!

What PG/VG ratio liquids do you use with the tanks?
My first build wasn’t very successful: after the usual coil winding + wicking, I wound it, assembled the tank, closed the liquid intake, and filled it about halfway.
Afterward, I opened the liquid intake so that one opening was free on each side, then started using it. The tank started gurgling properly right from the beginning, and within a short time, it pushed almost all the liquid into my mouth.
I used a 2.5mm core, 0.8ohm MTL Fused Clapton, BP Mods cotton, I made sure it wasn’t thinned out too much and covered all the intake holes. I vaped it at 15-18W.
One thing that’s already noticeable is that even with all the airflow holes open, the MTL airflow is very tight, a real satisfying feeling

I use it with around 80% PG (or more), and when I do, I open the small + 1 big hole on it. When I fill it with juice, it’s still closed. It never pushes into the deck like this for me 
. I can’t describe it more specifically, it always works maybe the first build 3 years ago, I left it open then, it pushed in…
