These… are putting on a show… They know everything… I don’t usually get involved in politics, but my opinion is that these topics only serve to provide a subject that distracts from the real problems… It’s all propaganda and paint…
I should add that unfortunately, underage vaping is indeed causing an ever-increasing problem, or rather, what they think is vaping…

And unfortunately, as a parent, I consider parents’ attitude towards the topic to be the biggest problem..
I don’t know when the mentality that prohibition is the best solution for every problem will fade away from people… Of course, I know it never will.
But instead of banning with tooth and nail the filth coming from China with 50mg/nicotine content, we should think about offering alternatives to the child… Sometimes I feel like when someone becomes a parent, they completely forget that they were young too..
Among alternative solutions, obviously, in our opinion, the best solution is DIY mixing or perhaps a pod system… But there are also some of these disposable vapes which are tested and accepted in every country… (well, we know not here) where the nicotine content is a reasonable amount, etc..
But the world doesn’t change… Prohibition remains… and we’ll do it anyway…

I can afford to be as indifferent to politics as I can. It’s enough for me to know when I need to stock up. I only shared the article because it was relatively fresh and because EU Health Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi was mentioned. Occasionally, I check what the EU is up to to make “our hobby” more difficult, or what might be worth stocking up on in the near future. The word “flavoring” already appears 107 times in the 2016 EU vape study, examining products from well-known companies like FlavourArt and others, expressing their concern that while their products are tested for human consumption, they are not tested for inhalation. The EU’s mills grind slowly, but if they can find something to object to, there’s a significantly increased chance that they will eventually object to it (not that it’s scripture, but). We don’t know what will happen, but it never hurt anyone to be prepared for a change.

Yesterday I read an article about the consequences of the Dutch “ban”. Illegal sales kicked off…
A father and his 15-year-old son were dealing with it; the business was going so well that one neighbor, tired of all the people coming and going and the littering, shot the father and son… Both are in the hospital…

And they were almost among the first who produced vape flavors, and many people still love to use them to this day. I think they wrote this just for ‘protection’ reasons.

Recently, I also checked with a Dutch IP address to see how effectively the regulation has been implemented. I didn’t have to search much to find disposable vape sites available for local order with such a selection that a “mini-bar” addict from our country would clasp their hands in prayer.

Madrid, 02.04.2025 – The World Vapers Alliance (WVA) has criticized the tax increase on vaping products that came into effect yesterday in Spain, considering that this measure represents a step backwards in the fight against smoking, and an unjustified penalty for adult smokers who have chosen a less harmful alternative.
This measure aims to equalize the taxation of electronic cigarettes and traditional cigarettes by imposing a tax of 15 cents/ml on liquids containing less than 15 milligrams of nicotine, and a tax of 20 cents on liquids containing nicotine above this threshold. Nicotine pouches are taxed at 10 cents per gram. In practice, this increases the price of a 10-milliliter bottle by €1.50.
