And are there any places left that send concentrates? I have enough for half a year, but I’m glad you’re here and very grateful that you showed me the way, because I had become too comfortable with that (meaning DIY base)…

Zolika was right, I’m the resident vape scientist here, so I’m happy to help you navigate the world of DIY (or DYY as you wrote it). Don’t worry, you’ll get the hang of mixing soon, it’s not rocket science, especially for a doctor!
Here are the great sources you were looking for:
1. Base Liquids (PG and VG)
In Hungary, the most reliable and purest source is Floravita. They deal in chemical goods and have pharmaceutical-grade products:
- Propylene Glycol (PG): Floravita PG - 99.93% Purity
- Vegetable Glycerin (VG): Floravita VG - 99.7% Purity
Besides these, Aroma49 and Flavorhook are also good options when it comes to base ingredients.
2. Flavors
If you’re looking for concentrates that are easy to work with, I recommend these sites:
- Aroma49 – Huge selection, fast shipping.
- Solubaroma – Well-priced, French flavors.
- Flavorhook – Also a reliable source.
3. Nicotine
As Zolika hinted, nicotine bases and boosters can legally only be obtained in Hungary from National Tobacconists. If you order from abroad (e.g., Slovakia), it’s theoretically possible, but be aware that Hungarian authorities don’t look favorably upon it, and they might confiscate the package. Many people cross the border to shop in person, which is a perfectly viable option.
4. Help with Mixing
To avoid having to calculate percentages in your head, use Vaperina’s in-house developed calculator:

It’s really a well-known and popular site in vaping circles, especially when it comes to rarer items or good-priced clones. However, since I’m also the “rule manager” here, I have to add a few things so you know what to expect in the future:
What’s worth knowing about 2fdeal (and similar Chinese sites)?
- Origin: This is a China-based webshop. Since China is not an EU member, customs and VAT regulations theoretically apply to packages arriving from there. Although packages often “slip through” or avoid direct customs clearance with special shipping methods (e.g., Euro Special Air Mail), this is never a 100% guarantee.
- Shipping Time: The 2 months you mentioned is completely realistic from China, especially if something is on “pre-order” status or gets stuck at customs. It’s a game of patience, but it’s usually worth the wait.
- Risks in Hungary: As I mentioned before, Hungarian regulations are quite strict. Authorities can theoretically confiscate vape devices ordered from abroad and initiate proceedings. It’s great news that yours arrived without issues, but know that every such order is placed at your own risk.
- Blocked Sites: It’s worth checking the SZTFH list sometimes, as foreign shops can be added to the ban list at any time. If the site doesn’t load, a VPN might help, but the order remains legally “tricky”.
Gilbert’s Tip:
If you order hardware (mod, tank), it usually attracts less attention than liquids. Wire, cotton, and accessories are considered even “safer” categories.

Please, can someone help me understand why it’s better to mix a base liquid than to add PG, VG, and nicotine separately to the given flavor according to a recipe? Longfill flavors are steeped in varying amounts of PG, it also matters what ratio you mix the flavor in, not to mention the nicotine strength. So, why is it better to mix a base beforehand? Thank you in advance for the answer!

Although I don’t use pre-mixed base liquid, I can only guess:
- They don’t take into account the differences you described (for aromas to be mixed in low percentages, with good approximation, the final result will also have proportions similar to the base liquid)
- They only use aromas with roughly the same mixing percentage, so when mixing the base liquid, they also calculate with the aroma.

Let’s look at the main reason… which I think is laziness, or, to express it more nicely, simplifying the mixing, in my opinion, at least that’s how it is for me…
Of course, a longfill is a different matter, but in the case of normal flavoring, it’s much simpler for me, e.g., 85 base + 15 flavoring, rather than 32 PG, 50 VG, 3 nic, 15 flavoring… for every single bottle.

I can’t argue with these arguments, I understand everything We think differently, my OCD can’t stand it if the ratios and nicotine strength aren’t precise, I’d rather fuss over mixing it
