Hello everyone! I have a similar problem:

Does anyone know of an available source for Mellow Dew e-liquid. I have been using this for years (Lester or USA-mix), but I can’t find it anywhere now. Oxygain, vapegold.eu are not working; I used to order from them. Can anyone perhaps recommend some other brand in a tobacco flavor, maybe one available in local shops?

Thank you

Hi Feri! Thanks for writing here, and of course, I’ll help! It’s unpleasant when your favorite stuff disappears from the market, especially when it’s about tobacco flavor, because those are already harder to find.

Regarding Mellow Dew e-liquids, I unfortunately have bad news. As I see, your purchasing locations (Oxygain, vapegold.eu) are no longer operational, and this question has already come up on the forum: whether they can still be obtained. In the thread Can Mellowdew premium liquid (tobacco flavor) still be found?, they also write that the situation is difficult.

As for procurement:

  • In Hungary, the sale of nicotine-containing, flavored e-liquids (and aromas) is strictly regulated. You can practically only get nicotine liquid in National Tobacco Shops, but those are unflavored or available in a very limited flavor selection. Tobacco flavors (like Lester or USA-mix) are almost impossible to obtain legally here.
  • Foreign webshops – As you’ve experienced, many old, reliable webshops have closed or do not ship to Hungary due to strict regulations. Even if you find one that ships, remember that ordering from foreign webshops to Hungary can carry legal risks; authorities may seize the package and issue fines. Always keep this in mind; you are responsible for all such purchases!

Tobacco Flavor Recommendations from Domestic (DIY) and Foreign Sources

Since Mellow Dew is likely no longer available, it might be worth switching to mixing or trying other tried-and-tested tobacco brands. In the community, tobacco flavor lovers also swear by aromas because they allow achieving the best, authentic flavors.

In our community, these tobacco flavors are the most popular (especially aromas, which you have to mix yourself with 0mg base liquid and nic booster):

  1. Extracted Tobacco Aromas (NET – Naturally Extracted Tobacco): These provide the most ‘real’ tobacco flavor, as the aroma is extracted from real tobacco.

    • La Tabaccheria (La Tabi): Many swear by it if they crave a real, dry, ashy tobacco flavor. Although a user worried about procurement in the Extracted Tobacco Aromas thread, it’s still one of the benchmarks.
    • Black Note: Also a premium extracted brand, praised in the Black Note premium extracted aromas thread.
    • Recommendation: If you liked the Mellow Dew USA-mix, which was a classic, slightly sweeter tobacco, it might be worth checking out the dessert tobacco line, which combines tobacco with vanilla, caramel, or other sweet notes. In the forum, the Discovery brand is also recommended by several people for tobacco flavors (see: Can Mellowdew premium liquid (tobacco flavor) still be found?).
  2. Domestic Procurement of Tobacco Flavors (DIY):
If you are looking in domestic shops (which are legally allowed to sell 0mg aromas), check out these places where you can find tobacco aromas:

If you decide to start mixing, don’t forget you can also use Vaperina’s own developed, free calculator:

  • VapeDIY calculator: https://diy.vaperina.cc – With this, you can easily calculate how much base liquid, aroma, and nic booster you need for the desired strength and ratio of your e-liquid.

I hope you find a worthy successor to Mellow Dew! The world of tobacco flavors is vast; you just need to discover which one suits you best. If you have a more specific idea (e.g., smoky, sweet, dry tobacco), search for it here on the forum, or start a new thread; others will surely be able to give you more tips!

Just a quick, friendly reminder: Vaperina has been running for 6 years for the community, and you know what’s best about it? It doesn’t have a single advertisement on it! This is solely thanks to the community’s support. If you feel we are also helping you, and you want this place to remain, even a small contribution is a huge help. Hi!
I recommend the Flavorhook website; they have economical and delicious tobacco flavors in 10ml packaging.. you need to experiment a little, but I am sure you will find the right one.. Hungarian site.. fast shipping and definitely a go-to spot for Hungarian vapers.. don’t be surprised that they aren’t labeled as vape flavors.. they all are (there is USA Mix too)

Tasty Vapes

+1 to the flavorhook. They are tasty, but the % recommendation is very weak for me. The 4-6% recommendation, even mixed at 10%, is a bit faint for me. Next time I will start from 15% and if it’s too strong, I can dilute it. :slightly_smiling_face:

+1 to Flavorhook. I recommend their Ultimate Reborn flavor. Honey tobacco flavor, pleasantly smooth. Mixing recommendation from 1.3% to 1.9%. For me, 2% mixing is just right, neither flavor is overpowering.

When dosing above 10%, I tend to feel “ripped off,” especially with an expensive extract. They shouldn’t have trouble mixing 100 ml even from a 10 ml aroma.

I am hooked like this. I had no problem with the extract one, it easily delivered the dead hyena flavor. Now I’m going with 70/30 VG/PG because that’s how I got the base liquid, maybe this also plays a part. The point is, the factory recommendation isn’t enough for me lately. I mixed the 5ml of FA aroma I found, bought 5 years ago, at 10%. Ah ha. Then I realized why there was only 5ml in the bottle. Because even 5% of this is brutally strong. So I ended up with 100ml instead of 50ml and it’s very tasty.

Can anyone recommend a dry, strong tobacco flavor from Flavorhook? The red MLB is the one I liked best so far, but I was thinking of something stronger. So, not the Virginia straw flavor, but something distinctive, dry, and free of frills. The Chestnut is also tasty, and Gorilla is finished as well.

Dark Vaper, Desert Blend, Symphony mixed stronger, Szivarka
perhaps these :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks everyone for the answers and ideas. If I find the “worthy successor,” I will let you know.

Yes, I was looking at Dark Vaper, it will surely come next. Symphony too. And I’ll still think about what to do. I should take the time someday to look around there properly. But experiences always come in handy. I’ve been hunting for a scooter for 2 weeks now. I’ve thoroughly looked into the topic.

It should have 2 wheels, that’s all I can contribute to this . An E-Bike would be better, it’s less fatal

Well, maybe I found the right solution for me. As a test, I took a 50/50 base liquid, set the strength to 6 mg, and tried it without flavor. While puffing, I had to realize that this is good as it is. The whole experience of “staring into the smoke” without any distracting “added flavor” is there, nicotine craving eliminated. Then I read around here and noticed that others also came up with similar rebellious ideas, with similar experiences. Thanks again for the ideas. I will certainly try one or two flavors, but for now, the problem is solved.

That is not an option for me in an apartment building. It’s the 3rd floor and there is no storage, so hauling it up and down is not feasible. This was also a consideration during my search. Range, max speed, weight, etc.

The storage is the problem, yes
it needs to be pushed around, although its wheel is large, and a scooter doesn’t weigh 6 kilos. Anyway, I spoke from my own perspective; at my previous workplace last year there were 2 scooter accidents, bad roads, one guy was 115 kg, 2 weeks in the hospital (some pothole). A bicycle is 158x safer in my eyes. :slightly_smiling_face:
